Wednesday Classes (January 7–February 11)
Martial Arts
This is a basic martial arts class, where kids will learn foundational techniques. They will build confidence and listening skills as well as learn the importance of discipline and self-respect, as well as respect for their peers, all while having fun and getting fit!

Knitting
Knitting with Mr. Wilson will teach you the basics of how to knit and get you off and running as a knitter. If you already have familiarity with knitting we can come up with project ideas and learn more advanced skills. Mr. Wilson has been knitting for 30 years and has taught many children how to knit. Supplies are included in the cost of this class.

Cosmic Space Robots
Get ready for an out-of-this-world adventure in Cosmic Space Robots! In this exciting RoboThink theme, students explore the wonders of space, learning how planets orbit the sun and how real-life satellites help us study the universe. They’ll also discover how NASA and other space agencies name their rovers—just like students around the world helped name the ones on Mars!
Using RoboThink’s cutting-edge robotics kits, students will bring their space creations to life, building satellites, spaceships, and even an alien craft! They'll experiment with gears, axles, motors, and RoboThink’s proprietary hardware to design and build their cosmic fleet. Best of all, no experience is needed—just a love for space and a sense of adventure!

Acting
Connecting the Art of Acting to the Heart of the Child! Tumble into a world where imagination, self-expression, and confidence are fostered and inspired, and creativity is elevated! This fun, dynamic class celebrates each child’s individuality, recognizing and nurturing their unique abilities and strengths. Family Sharing on the last day!

Drawing
Young Rembrandts students will flex their artistic muscles with an exciting lineup of drawing lessons. We’ll warm up with a whimsical Winter Birdhouse – a perfect project to spark imagination. Budding artists will take on dynamic challenges while drawing a bold llama, adorable penguins full of personality, and a Young Rembrandts take on Grant Wood’s American Gothic. We’ll wrap things up with a blend of elegance and graphic design in Trolls at Home and Line Art Owl lessons. Origami
Origami with Mr. Wilson will be a choose your own adventure experience in folding paper design. We will learn classic origami techniques and make wonderful traditional designs and maybe spend some time making our own creations.

Science Investigators
Come experiment with us! Young scientists will delve into science investigations through hands-on and interactive activities while they explore earth science, physics, biology and more!

Intermediate Chess
Join chess academy, GrandmasterMac, for a fun new session of chess. Students in the intermediate chess class already know how all the pieces move and about special moves like en passant and castling. Classmates will learn common checkmate patterns, basic tactics like pins and double attacks, and learn the rules of tournament chess. Grandmaster Mac will offer prizes like chess keychains, wristbands, tournament scorebooks, and a trophy. Students will get to try out fun new variants of chess like bughouse and atomic chess.

Improv Comedy
Improvisation is life. Learning to think, speak, and act "on the fly" is an invaluable skill for actors and non-actors alike. This FUN and fast-paced class will introduce students to core techniques employed in effective comedic improvisation. Students' communication skills and self-confidence will grow as they learn to fully listen, apply logic, and contribute to an evolving story. Plus, they'll do a lot of laughing.

Table Tennis
The after-school table tennis program by TableRex is a one-of-a-kind educational experience designed to help children improve important skills while having fun. Through engaging drills and play time in table tennis (a.k.a. ping pong), students develop hand-eye coordination, quick reflexes, agility, focus, and patience -- skills that help them both in and out of the classroom. We create a supportive and encouraging environment where children learn the fundamentals of table tennis, practice strategic thinking, and build confidence through friendly drills and games. Over the course of the program, students not only sharpen their athletic abilities but also cultivate discipline, perseverance, and teamwork -- valuable skills they can carry into all areas of life. TableRex brings all the necessary equipment needed for the club along with our team of experienced coaches, so all students need to do is show up ready to play and have fun!
