Spy Kidz

 

Do you think you have the skills to be a Secret Agent? Agents must be quick, smart, able to

think fast, and have many skills from picking locks to solving ciphers. In this fast-paced, fun-

filled class, you will learn the skills to be a spy. But that is not enough to make you a Secret

Agent; In the last class you will put your skills and knowledge to the test to pull off a Heist! Do

you have what it takes to become a master of espionage? If so, sign up for SpyKidz today and

become a Secret Agent.

Soccer Skills

 

Players will develop their dribbling, passing, and shooting skills. Each class ends with small-sided games where the players will incorporate the technical and tactical aspects of the game learned in week. All classes will focus on encouraging good sportsmanship and teamwork.

Theater Workshop

 

Calling all actors! Join us for a fun and informal theater workshop that allows kids to have fun with friends and experience performing. Kids will play theater games, read scripts, and learn about the different roles needed for a production. Great for newbies or aspiring actors alike!

 

Grades 1-5 Instructor:  Horizons in Learning Cost $ 150

 

Class will be split in two, separated by grades 1 & 2 and 3-5

Amusement Park Engineering

 

Welcome to RoboThink Land! As the newest roller coaster engineer, it’s your child’s job to help build the best amusement park they possibly can.  This program has students using motors, axles, gears and more to create a wide variety of theme park rides, including a Ferris Wheel and a roller coaster.  No prior experience necessary, just be prepared for a world of fun!

 

Grades 1-5 Instructor:  RoboThink Cost $ 250

Generation Pound Fitness Class

 

Generation Pound fuses movement and music to improve focus, coordination, physical fitness, and teamwork skills for “Rockstars in Training.” Instructors use Ripstix®–POUND’s lightly weighted exercise drumsticks–to learn alternative ways to explore movement.

Beginner Chess

 

Join chess academy, GrandmasterMac, for a fun and exciting chess class! Chess is a fun way to practice valuable skills like planning, critical thinking, and spatial reasoning. Students will take their first steps in the royal game, learning all piece movements, getting in and out of check, how to capture and checkmate. GrandmasterMac will make the class fun and educational through the use of prizes, trophies, and exciting mini-games to help students develop their love of the game.

Elementary Drawing

 

Young Rembrandts teaches children to draw. Our approach fosters a wealth of skills such as fine motor skills, handwriting readiness, and attention to detail. Children taught using our step-by-step method develop increased patience, discipline, and focus as well as a host of artistic skills and expanded creativity, imagination and confidence. This winter, Young Rembrandts artists are in for a treat with a lineup of ALL NEW drawing lessons. From a vibrant pop art dog to fascinating art history and a powerful unicorn, there's so much to learn and love. We prioritize proper technique and excellent color selection in every lesson. Your child will not only enhance their skills but also have a blast personalizing cool drawings like soccer players, and robots. Improv Comedy

 

Improvisation is life. Learning to think, speak, and act "on the fly" is an invaluable skill for actors and non-actors alike. This FUN and fast-paced class will introduce students to core techniques employed in effective comedic improvisation. Students' communication skills and self-confidence will grow as they learn to fully listen, apply logic, and contribute to an evolving story. Plus, they'll do a lot of laughing.

Jewelry Design

 

Which do you prefer: making jewelry or wearing it? Well, it actually doesn't matter because in the Saturday's Child Jewelry Gallery class, your child will create and brand their own designer jewelry. They can wear these pieces to school or on special occasions. This is not just a simple beading class; we craft genuine jewelry, from rings to bracelets and necklaces, all completely original to you! Best of all, the program concludes with a Jewelry Gallery Show where parents can bid on their children's best pieces!

Intermediate Chess

 

Join chess academy, GrandmasterMac, for a fun new session of chess. Students in the intermediate chess class already know how all the pieces move and about special moves like en passant and castling. Classmates will learn common checkmate patterns, basic tactics like pins and double attacks, and learn the rules of tournament chess. Grandmaster Mac will offer prizes like chess keychains, wristbands, tournament scorebooks, and a trophy. Students will get to try out fun new variants of chess like bughouse and atomic chess.

Martial Arts

 

This is a basic martial arts class, where kids will learn foundational techniques.  They will build confidence and listening skills as well as learn the importance of discipline and self-respect, as well as respect for their peers, all while having fun and getting fit!

Junior Robotics

 

By entering into our “Tinker Lab,” young children will be exposed to robotics in a fun, hands-on way.  Children will be introduced to the coding, programming & designing of real, age-appropriate robots understanding the basics of algorithms while building language & math skills as we work with sequencing, estimation & problem solving – all while having fun!  With Robotics being the wave of the future, children who understand robotics will be at an advantage – literally able to operate the world around them!  Featuring: Code and Go Mouse, Botley, Bit Bots, BB8, Cubelets, Cubetto, Novie & Dash and Dot.
