SUBJECT: Welcome Back, Washington Families!

September 1, 2026

Dear Washington Families,

Welcome to a brand-new school year! We are so excited to see familiar faces, meet new families, and kick off another year together at Washington Elementary.

A special WELCOME to all of the families joining the Washington community for the first time! You are now part of a truly wonderful school community, and we can’t wait for you to jump in, get involved, make new friends, experience our Washington traditions, and—most importantly—watch your children learn, grow, and thrive.

There's a Lot to Look Forward To!

The PTO is already planning a fun-filled year, with many of the traditions our community looks forward to year after year. From Art in the Classroom and SpringFest to Family Movie Night, there will be plenty of opportunities for our kids (and grown-ups!) to have fun together.

And it's not just about the kids! The PTO loves creating opportunities for parents to connect, too. Be sure to join us for our First Day of School Coffee and other parent activities throughout the year. Whether you're brand new to Washington or have been here for years, we hope you'll come out, say hello, and get to know the amazing people who make up our community.

What Does the PTO Support?

Your PTO membership dues and donations make so much possible at Washington. Thanks to the generosity of our families, we are able to provide experiences, resources, and extras that enrich our children’s school experience and support our teachers and staff.

Throughout the year, the PTO helps support:

  • Art in the Classroom
  • Assemblies & Cultural Arts Programs
  • School Directory
  • Family Movie Night
  • Field Day
  • Fifth Grade Play
  • SpringFest
  • Pollinator Garden
  • Recess Equipment
  • Teacher & Staff Recognition
  • Teacher & STEAM Room Stipends
  • Washington PTO Website
  • And many other programs and activities throughout the year!

We are especially proud to support our teachers and staff through grant opportunities and annual stipends, helping provide the resources and extras they need to make learning engaging and meaningful for our children. We also love supporting our Washington alumni as they take their next steps by providing a college scholarship each year.

Please take a moment to update your information in our membership directory and make a donation to the PTO by clicking here.

Please reach out to us directly with any questions, comments, feedback, etc by emailing washingtonpto.07901@gmail.com. Thank you in advance for your participation. We look forward to working alongside families, students and staff who all make Washington such an exceptional school. Here's to a great year!

Welcome Back!
